What is it?
Vodacom Contract, Top Up and Prepaid customers who have Wi-Fi enabled laptops, cellphones and PDA's , but do not have 3G/HSDPA devices or are in poor 3G/HSDPA coverage areas, will be able to access Broadband services using Wi-Fi.
The Wi-Fi service is accessible at 650 Wi-Fi hotspots locally and 110 000 hotspots internationally. You can find your nearest Wi-Fi hotspots by visiting http://vodacom.wirelessg.co.za and using the Hotspot Locator.

Access the internet in poor 3G/HSDPA coverage areas.

How do I get it?
Vodacom Contract, Prepaid and Top Up customers can access the Wi-Fi service.
You will need:
- A Wi-Fi enabled laptop.
- The Connection Manager software - You can purchase a WirelessG Wi-Fi starter pack containing the Connection Manager software CD from any participating Vodacom outlet. Alternatively, you can download the connection manager software free (11.5MB) at http://vodacom.wirelessg.co.za.
- A Wi-Fi online account - create a Wi-Fi account by signing up.
- Wi-Fi Credits - This will be billed to your existing Vodacom account.
- (Please note: You have to extract the zip file to a folder on your computer before installing the Connection Manager.)
